Andrew is a Group Director of CIM and has been in the social housing sector for more than 8 years, including being part of the team that established the housing investment company, Funding Affordable Homes. He was the advisor to and founder of The PFI Infrastructure Co, which in 2004 became the first publicly traded company in London dedicated to investment in social infrastructure. Andrew has worked in a senior capacity involved in the financial sector for over 25 years. He was previously Co-Head of Capital Markets at Societe Generale in London. He has also been actively engaged in other property activities in the UK and internationally. He is a chartered accountant.

Tom is a Group Director of CIM and has been involved in real estate investment for over 20 years, having originated, underwritten, financed, and asset managed a wide range of properties within the UK and abroad, through both equity and mezzanine investment including being part of the team that established the housing investment company, Funding Affordable Homes. Tom is also a director of Beaufort Capital Management Limited, a UK mezzanine investment manager, and was formerly a solicitor at Norton Rose Fulbright, specialising in corporate finance and investment funds.

Chude is a director of the CIM and Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Ledbury Capital Partners LLP, a European fund manager (the AIFM). Prior to Ledbury, he was director of international operations and a partner at Eton Park International LLP between 2007 and 2012. At that time, Eton Park was a $14 billion multi-strategy hedge fund, where he oversaw international non trading operations. Prior to Eton Park, Chude was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of DE Capital Management LLP, and Head of Operations for Caxton Europe Asset Management Limited and was responsible for building their international operations infrastructure out of their London office. Before working in the investment industry, Chude had various roles at HSBC USA, RBS and Merrill Lynch within operations. Chude received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the London School of Economics in 1993, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Business Law from the University of Manchester in 1995. He also studied at the College of Law (Chester) between 1995 and 1996.

Phil is a specialist real estate consultant with over 33 years’ experience in institutional investment management. As Client Portfolio Director, Phil was responsible for Aviva Investors institutional real estate clients and the development of the Aviva Investors institutional real estate fund management business. He had a particular focus most recently on real estate multi-manager (REMM), successfully expanding this business from the UK into the Netherlands and Return Enhancing and Liability Matching (REaLM) and long income capabilities working in a variety of alternative real asset sectors. Phil joined Aviva Investors in 1988 and initially worked on the Central London office portfolio. In 1989, he progressed to running a segregated client mandate moving onto the pooled pensions fund in 1992 where he subsequently became fund manager. In 1997, Phil set up the real estate multi-manager service and was fund manager until 2005. Phil also held the position of risk manager responsible for all pension fund multi-manager and segregated client mandates. He has worked extensively with investment consultants and clients and advised public sector, corporate pension fund and other financial institutional clients. As Head of Institutional Property Funds from 2000 to 2005, Phil was responsible for all external pension fund direct and indirect client mandates. He has been an experienced director and Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for all REaLM funds. Previously, Phil worked for Legal & General Investment Management for five years focused on property asset management, investment and development. Phil holds a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from the University of Reading. Phil is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and has been an FCA Approved Person for investment management and customer functions. Phil was also a past committee member of the property panel for the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF, now PLSA).

Claire has 15 years PQE across real estate and development sectors. Prior to joining CIM Claire was responsible for the financial control function of group companies owned by Inland Homes PLC, leading on financial reporting, audit, group forecasts and performance management. Prior to this, she was Fund Finance Manager at Savills Investment Management and Fund Controller at AEW Europe.

Nazlin has over fifteen years of experience in real estate finance. She has extensive experience in financial reporting under various GAAPs, financial management, group consolidation and fund accounting. She joined Civitas from Tritax Group PLC FTSE 250, where she was the Head of Financial Reporting, providing leadership to the financial reporting aspects for both Big Box PLC and Eurobox PLC. Prior to this, she spent four years with Kennedy Wilson as a portfolio controller for 176 assets, Finance Manager at Hermes Fund Managers (Real Estate division) and Head of Statutory Reporting at Land Securities PLC. She is a fellow of the ICAEW.

Amir is an accomplished finance professional with over 5 years of experience in the housing sector. He earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex and is a Level 1 CFA.

He has worked at the largest UK Housing Association that manages over 125,000 properties that housed over 350,000 tenants. Exceptional skills in financial management and leadership have enabled him to successfully oversee complex financial transactions and gained a robust knowledge of finance and housing management.

Kat has over fifteen years of experience as an Established Credit Control Manager and Accounts Payables. She joined CIM from The Howard de Walden Estate being solo responsible for the Credit Control function and managing a portfolio of over four thousand tenants. Prior to this, Kat was at Control Risks, Wolverine Worldwide Europe Ltd, Colliers International and Dairy Crest. She has a large experience in developing the credit control and query resolution team. Kat is CPD and AICM qualified.

Cynthia has over 19 compliance experience in the financial services industry, specialising in the sectors of real estate and private equity.  Prior to joining Civitas, Cynthia was the Deputy Global Head of Risk and Compliance at Savills Investment Management, a real estate investment manager, and held the SMF16 – Compliance Oversight function for its two UK regulated entities. Prior to Savills Investment Management, Cynthia was the Head of UK Compliance for Hudson Advisors and Lone Star. During her compliance career, Cynthia has gained extensive regulatory knowledge and expertise in the creation, implementation and enhancement of global risk and compliance control frameworks.  Cynthia is a fellow member of the International Compliance Association.

Siu-Wai has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to Civitas, Siu-Wai was Partner, Global Head of Product Development and member of the Executive Committee at BlueBay Asset Management, an alternative fixed income manager. Siu-Wai has significant expertise in bringing products to market and building business platforms in both public and private asset classes. She is a seasoned investment fund director and has in-depth understanding in corporate governance issues. Siu-Wai started her career with Mercer Investment Consulting in Hong Kong before moving to London, subsequently joining JPMorgan Asset Management. Siu-Wai is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an INSEAD certified International Director. She is a Trustee of the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and an Investment Committee member of the Salvation Army.

Prior to joining CIM Tayo was lead on a number of large projects from development stages through to sales and marketing for social housing at Funding Affordable Homes.  Prior to this, he was Executive Director at Housing & Care 21 where he led a period of strong growth delivering over 6,000 homes. Tayo is also a Doctoral Researcher at Cranfield University investigating the potential to deploy private funds through Impact Investing to accelerate the transition to a Circular Economy.

Carol has over 10 years’ experience as an independent clinical compliance consultant, working with care providers across various care settings and patient groups to review and enhance quality and regulatory performance. Prior to that she worked for care providers in senior quality and operational roles for 15 years. Carol is a qualified Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD), holds a BTEC Diploma in Care, post grad Diploma in Management Studies, and has a number of relevant training certificates including Managing Safely from the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Clinical Supervision from the Anglia Polytechnic University.

She has joined CIM as Quality Director, and works with many of the care providers delivering services into properties owned by Civitas funds with a particular focus on registered care services and more specialist services.

Prior to CIM, Nikolay was a Managing Director at Tristan Capital Partners where he was responsible for equity investments on behalf of core+ and value add funds. During his 10 years at Tristan Capital Partners, Nikolay has sourced and closed transactions over €3bn with primary focus on Germany/Austria, Iberia as well as CEE. Before that, Nikolay spent five years at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing in Frankfurt, Germany in acquisitions and asset management across core and opportunistic strategies.

With expertise across the mobility and energy industries, he has recently supported public and private sector companies position themselves for growth in a net zero future. He holds a Master in Management from ESCP Europe and a bachelors degree in the Built Environment from the University of Western Australia.

Mary has worked in the real estate sector for over 20 years. Prior to Civitas, Mary was the Head of Transactions for WeWork where she led the real estate transaction team in the acquisition and asset management of over 150 buildings in 30 cities in EMEA, including numerous pre-lets in London, Paris and Berlin. During her 5 years at WeWork, Mary gained extensive experience in the regulatory and legal complexities of the key European markets. Mary is a qualified real estate lawyer. She began her career at Jones Day Gouldens and latterly she was Of Counsel at SJ Berwin where she advised major developers, landlords and tenants including The Crown Estate, Axa, British Land, SuperDry and Marks & Spencer. She is an active member of Women Talk Real Estate, Real Estate Women and Women on Boards.

James is a Transaction Analyst at CIM and is responsible for assisting with financial modelling, pipeline management and transaction analysis for new opportunities. Prior to joining CIM, James worked at L1 Capital in the residential property fund as an Investment Associate, where he personally underwrote and executed on £37m of residential property. Prior to L1 Capital, James held various roles at Brydell Partners, Knight Frank and Savills. James holds a Master’s in Real Estate from University College London and a first-class undergraduate degree from the University of Southampton.

During the four years Kate worked at Norton Rose Fulbright she acted for a range of clients including financial institutions, developers and landlords and tenants. Whilst working for Norton Rose Fulbright, Kate completed a legal secondment with CIM. Her experience of real estate transactions includes financing, investment and property management. Kate also has experience in the property aspects of corporate transactions, including within the renewable energy sector.

Prior to CIM, Simon was a Director of Pradera where he was responsible for raising, investing and managing the Pradera Open-Ended Retail Fund, a German domiciled open-ended institutional spezialfonds focussed on retail property across Europe. During his 17 years at Pradera, Simon was also a member of Pradera’s executive committee, country head for Turkey, acquisitions manager for the Pradera Central & Eastern Fund and asset manager for the Pradera European Retail Fund. Simon is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Victoria has been involved in real estate law within the healthcare and public sector for more than ten years. Victoria was formerly at a leading healthcare and social housing law firm acting as a lawyer for NHS and private healthcare providers dealing with their real estate matters. Victoria has extensive experience of advising numerous NHS Trusts and other healthcare bodies in London and the South of England in all aspects of their property requirements including projects, acquisitions and disposals, site developments and complex underletting requirements, strategic estates rationalisation and overage, landlord and tenant matters and NHS Estatecode. Victoria has been lead assistant on a number of large projects, including recently a new build radiotherapy centre, an incinerator project, and the biggest national public sector leasehold acquisition project between 2009 – 2010. Prior to specialising in the healthcare sector, she acted for private sector and commercial organisations and property companies on similar matters.

Ian has extensive experience in property from both a portfolio and asset management perspective, predominantly within the healthcare and office and sectors. Ian previously worked in active asset management at both PHP Group and Workspace. Prior to that Ian worked at JLL managing trophy assets within central London. Ian is a Chartered Surveyor / Member of the RICS.
